Snow & Santa

It's been a snowy week here in Nebraska. I'm not sure if there is an official measuring in Friend but I'd say we have over a foot of snow and boy is it cold outside. The snow isn't going anywhere soon! I think there's even more to come this weekend or early next week. Might very well be a white Christmas. We spent the blizzard praying the baby wouldn't come. Now that we can get out we are back to praying for the baby to arrive early so we are home in plenty of time for Christmas.

Mason made several trips outside on Tuesday and Wednesday, most of which lasted a whole 5 minutes before he got too cold. He really wanted to make a snowman but it isn't the snowman kind of snow and it's way too cold to stay out that long!

Instead, we had more fun making cookies and treats inside where it was warm!

Luckily the snow didn't keep Santa away. Mason was pretty shy and so Mommy and the baby had to sit on Santa's lap too. He asked Santa for a tractor. As we were walking away Mason said "I like Santa", turned around and gave him a high five. Wish we would have had a picture of that.

Here is our wonderful new house all lite up for Christmas. Brandon did a great job hanging lights. You can also see all the snow piled up around the house. (It really is white, not sure why the camera made it look green.)
